La Descarga offers the audience not only an authentic experience of a salsa party, but also an enthralling journey into the salsa history. La Descarga Salsa Orchestra located in the capital of Czech Republic is a patchwork of musicians from different countries of the world. Represented in this salsa orchestra, the Czech Republic, Australia, Peru, Germany, Bolivia and Cuba. The main character is a Peruvian singer and percussionist Javier Marroquín Urdanivia.

La Descarga Salsa Orchestra is an international salsa group based in Prague. It offers not only an authentic experience and a true “latino” party, but also an interesting probe into the history of salsa. The selection of songs ranges from the oldest classics (La Fania, Ray Barreto, Héctor Lavoe, Willie Colon, El Gran Combo, Oscar de Leon, Joe Arroyo, Ruben Blades or Fruko y sus Tesos), through the so-called “sensual salsa” which dominated the last two decades of the 20th century (Frankie Ruiz, Eddie Santiago, Jerry Rivera, Luis Enrique, Adolescentes), to the songs of popular contemporary artists such as Marc Anthony, Maelo Ruiz, Gilberto Santa Rosa etc. The band also plays the famous genre “Son Cubano ”That influenced salsa (such as Compay Segundo or Buena Vista Social Club). La Descarga consists of professional musicians from Peru, Cuba, Germany, Australia and the Czech Republic
