Great Prague Event Planning restaurant Vojanuv Dvur is more of a dining complex rather than just a restaurant.
Its traditional bohemian atmosphere, complemented with a large summer beer garden in the courtyard, is the perfect setting to sample and savour in the time-honored Czech menu. The overall feel of this restaurant brings you back to the true essence of a Prague pub in the early 20th century.
In 1249, Vojanův Dvůr was first recorded as the seat of the Prague bishop. The Windisch-Graetz family acquired it in the 19th century. It once served as an imperial stable, where ARDO II was kept. This horse inspired Czech sculptor Jan Myslbek‘s equestrian statue of St. Wenceslas on Wenceslas Square.
The tipple of choice to go along with the menu offerings, of course, award winning Czech beer, is poured from large beer tanks. A variety of smoked meats, Prague ham, roasted pork, home-made potato cakes, and other Bohemian specialties make up the menu. Above all, a favorite amongst groups is the fire roasted suckling pig which is prepared in front of diners on the garden BBQ pit.
