La Republica
La Republica is a stylish restaurant in the centre of Prague with excellent first republic (post 1918) and Austro-Hungarian cuisine. For the true gourmets, the speciality of the restaurant is the Viennese delicacy Tafelspitz.
Housed in a beautiful historical building in Na Poříčí street, near Republic Square, La Republica is a quality Czech restaurant and pub with vibrant and lively atmosphere, which is popular with local regulars and passing travellers alike. La Republica has developed well-deserved reputation for excellent food, wide selection of craft beers including the original Pilsner Urquell beer from tanks. The selection of starters include homemade venison sausages, Prague ham on the bone and soups. Among the main dishes are roasted pork hock, beef tenderloin goulash, Wiener schnitzel or a roasted duck. To accompany meals there is a good wine list.
The charming interior contains a number of original art items including antique paintings, vases, and other decorations from both before, and after 1918. As another interesting spectacle, you can watch directly from your table as the chefs prepare on the grill the famous Bavarian pork knuckle.
