Paris Hotel Prague
This neo-Gothic hotel building with expressive elements of Art Nouveau was built in 1904. In 1991 the hotel returned to the Brandejs family, whose hotelier tradition has now a 150-year history. The hotel boosts a total of 86 luxury rooms. For the comfort of their guests, they offer the legendary Café de Paris cafe, a legendary place for an encounter or meeting in Prague. Their is also the French & traditional Czech gourmet Restaurant Sarah Bernhardt. Their is also the relaxing wellness & spa center with traditional Thai massages.
Each room is handsomely decorated and furnished with replicas of the original furniture. No matter which room you choose to stay in, you will have the feeling of returning to the picturesque Art Nouveau era. The Presidential suite of the hotel provides the most astonishing view of the city available anywhere as the bed actually faces a huge portal window overlooking the Prague castle, and all of the city’s red tiled roofs below. A traditional heavy wood beamed winding staircase leads to a complete glass encased tower, which may be used for small gatherings of up to 6 people.
The stairway is probably one of the most elegant parts of the Hotel. The preserved window panels, with its rosette and citrus designs, are finally complemented by hand painting motifs. The intricately decorative cast-iron railings leading you to the Hotel corridors are also an exquisite characteristic of Hotel Paris.
The hotel has two dining areas, which are both well-known in Prague’s gastronomic society. The Sarah Bernhardt Brasserie is a testament to classical design as the interior is archetypal Art Nouveau: blue cleft mosaic with original lighting fixtures, wooden wainscoting and gilded stuccowork. The Café de Paris has also been a long time meeting point, and place to sample the pastry kitchen’s amble selection of cakes and tortes.
Two elegant lounges, Violet and Petit, both have separate entrances and are suitable for conferences, business meeting in Prague, and other social events. They can also be connected with the Café de Paris coffee house.
